Standard rectangular negative rake grooving insert with one set of cutting edges on both front and rear ends, providing 2 usable cutting tips per insert. It has no central mounting hole and is secured by the tool holder's clamping plate, compatible with MGEHR external grooving tool holders and MGEUR internal grooving boring bars.
Straight square main cutting edge, complete range of groove width sizes
The cutting edge features a standard straight right-angle profile. Groove widths cover 1.5/2/3/4/5/6mm (model series: MGMN150/MGMN200/MGMN300/MGMN400/MGMN500/MGMN600) with precise width tolerance, delivering excellent dimensional consistency for grooving and parting-off operations.
Reinforced cutting edge with negative chamfer
The cutting edge comes with a built-in negative hone chamfer and the insert adopts a thick substrate for robust edge support. It boasts far higher rigidity than light-cutting MGGN inserts, with remarkable resistance to impact and edge chipping.
