Why This Carbide Turning Insert Works

 

We designed the CNMG120408-MA Turning Insert Stainless Steel specifically for stainless turning. The edges are precision-ground-sharp, smooth, with less resistance going into the cut.

The carbide itself is hard and wears well. You get longer tool life without babysitting the insert.

Surface finish comes out clean. Parts hit spec without extra passes.

Full spec range means you can match whatever CNC lathe you're running.

What It Handles

 

  • Hardness under HRC45, general purpose work
  • Stainless and standard steels below 45HRC
  • Continuous cuts and medium loads
  • Balances high-volume runs with regular job shop work

The coating stops material from welding to the edge. No built-up edge mess.
